MY STORY:
After waiting several years after the loss of our beloved lab, we were finally ready. Fate had us staying nearby to MBPR last summer. We were riding our bikes on the bayside minding our own business when we heard and saw MBPR's yard overflowing with puppies! Of course we had to stop and cuddle a couple puppies! One caught my husbands eye with his floppy ears and blue eyes. We found out the puppy was from Bakersfield where my husband had gone to college. That sealed the deal and the rescue puppy named Birch became Blu. We did a DNA test and he is mostly cattle dog and husky with a little shepherd and malinois sprinkled in. He is very smart, loves water, and believe it or not, is a couch potato!
