Meet Wink — Our Little One-Eyed Wonder ❤️
Wink is a tiny, scruffy Terrier-mix girl with a huge heart and an irresistible little personality. She was born on April 1, 2026, and came to Mission Bay Puppy Rescue as part of our unexpected “Surprise Litter.”
Her family found us online, completed a relinquishment form, and then arrived at our home with five puppies in tow. Fortunately, we had room to help—but we agreed on one important condition: the puppies’ mom and dad needed to be spayed and neutered so there would be no more accidental litters. Their family happily agreed, and both parents have remained in the home where they are loved.
Wink arrived with an unusual appearance to her right eye. At first, we feared that the eye had suffered a serious injury and might eventually need to be surgically removed. After monitoring her closely and having her examined by the veterinarian, we received reassuring news: the eye appears comfortable and stable, and there is currently no reason to remove it. She may have limited vision from that eye, but it does not cause her pain or interfere with her ability to enjoy life.
And enjoy life she does!
Wink is affectionate, playful, curious, and
wonderfully cuddly. She happily wrestles with the other puppies, investigates her surroundings, and then curls up close when she is ready for some love. Her imperfect little eye is simply part of what makes her uniquely beautiful—it certainly doesn’t slow her down or diminish her sweet spirit.
Wink is expected to remain on the smaller side, although we never guarantee breed or adult size. Like every young puppy, she will need a family prepared to continue her potty training, socialization, basic manners, and all the other adventures that come with raising a puppy.
Wink is now spayed, dewormed, and ready to be loved on by a family of her very own.
She may be called Wink, but we think this precious girl is destined to make someone fall head-over-heels in love. ❤️
