Meet Max

Max was born in the shelter four months ago, and somehow, no one chose him.

Not because he wasn’t sweet. Not because he wasn’t lovable. He was simply overlooked and with the shelter running out of space, Max found himself on the euthanasia list.

We stopped at his kennel, talked to him for a while, and then continued our tour of the facility. When we reached the end, we turned back to the director, smiled, and said:

“And we’ll take Max.”

We all cried.

It was his Hail Mary and boy, are we glad we said yes.

The first time Max stepped out of a kennel and into our puppy yard, it was like watching a eat birthday cake for the very first time. He was so happy. He ran, explored, played, and instantly made friends with every puppy he met.

Max is around four months old and appears to be a terrier mix, possibly with a little pittie mixed in. Whatever he is, he is absolutely wonderful. He is affectionate, playful, gentle, great with the other dogs, and has been nothing but a pure dream since arriving.
