Mama Cookie & Her Little Crumbs

Mama Cookie was found just after giving birth to four darling, scruffy little puppies. She was painfully skinny, frightened, and doing everything she could to care for her babies. When SDHS reached out and asked if we could help this little family, there was only one answer: YES.

Now safe in foster care, Cookie and her four little “Crumbs” are thriving. Her puppies are ridiculously cute, wonderfully sassy, curious, playful, and already showing off their own little personalities. Just look at those faces!

And Mama Cookie? She is an absolute sweetheart. Once she realized she was safe, her loving personality began to shine. She is incredibly affectionate, fully potty trained, obedient, and walks beautifully on a leash.

After everything she has been through, she still wants nothing more than to be close to her people and soak up all the love she can get.

Cookie gave everything she had to her babies when they needed her most. Now it’s her turn—and soon, the little Crumbs’ turn—to find the loving homes they deserve.

From a scared, skinny mama protecting four newborn puppies to a happy little family surrounded by love… this is why foster homes save lives. ❤️
