Naomi

Sweet Naomi is back with us and ready for the family who is truly meant to be hers.

Naomi spent the past four months in a home, and during that time we learned a lot about this wonderful girl. She is extremely friendly, gets along beautifully with other dogs, is fully vaccinated, potty trained, and walks great on a leash.

We also learned something very important: **Naomi wants to be part of the family.** She is not a dog who will be happy spending her days alone outside while her people are away at work. In her previous home, she eventually began finding ways out of the yard when she was left outside alone. Since returning to us, where she is included in daily life and surrounded by people and other dogs, she has **not attempted to escape our yard at all.**

For that reason, we are looking for a family who can truly include Naomi in their everyday life. She would be wonderful for an active family, especially one with a secure yard and other animals for companionship. Someone who works from home, is retired, or otherwise has the ability to spend plenty of time with her would be an especially good match.

Naomi is currently about **45 pounds** and we estimate her adult weight will be around **55 pounds**. Her DNA results tell us she is approximately **50% German Shepherd and 50% Super Mutt** — which apparently is the recipe for one very lovely dog.

### Naomi’s Story

Naomi originally came to us after being found as a stray in Kern County. We were already arranging to bring another dog from the shelter into our rescue, so we asked if there was anyone else who desperately needed a ride to safety.

During a FaceTime call with the shelter, they showed us Naomi’s sweet face — and we instantly knew she was the one.

She was understandably scared and timid when she first arrived, but it didn’t take long for this gentle girl to relax and realize that her life had changed for the better.

Today, that shy little dog has grown into an affectionate, social, beautiful girl with enormous ears, a graceful build, and a personality that makes her very easy to love.

Naomi has already experienced being lost once and losing a home once. **This time, we want forever.**

She is ready for an active, loving family who will make her part of their world — adventures, couch time, walks, other dogs, and all. In return, they are going to get one incredibly sweet companion.
