Meet Archie Available for Adoption June 28, 2025 Archie is a 9-week-old F1B Cavapoo (as stated by original owner) with show-stopping good looks and a personality to match! With his tightly curled, plush coat in a warm caramel hue, snow-white chest, and creamy-dipped paws and tail tip, Archie looks exactly like a real-life teddy bear. He even has the button nose and big eyes to prove it! He was originally purchased from a breeder in Ohio but was lovingly surrendered due to his former owner's health challenges. Archie is already well on his way with potty training, eats like a champ, and loves to play. A Cavapoo (also spelled Cavoodle) is a designer mixed breed — a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle (usually a Miniature or Toy Poodle). Here’s a quick breakdown: What Makes a Cavapoo Special? Temperament: Friendly, affectionate, and people-oriented. They’re known for being gentle and great with kids, making them ideal family dogs. Size: Typically small — usually 10 to 20 lbs depending on the Poodle parent’s size. Coat: Wavy or curly, often low-shedding and considered more hypoallergenic than many other breeds (thanks to their Poodle side). Coat types can vary in curliness and maintenance needs. Intelligence: Highly trainable! Cavapoos inherit smarts from the Poodle and a loving, eager-to-please attitude from the Cavalier. Exercise Needs: Moderate. They love playtime, short walks, and being near their humans, but don’t require intense activity. Lifespan: Around 12–15 years with good care.
