MY STORY: Meet Lilo and Stitch: A Dynamic Duo Ready for Their Forever Home!
Lilo and Stitch aren't your average rescue pups—they're a truly unique blend of Dutch Shepherd (Brindle Malinois) and French Bulldog, making them as one-of-a-kind in appearance as they are in personality. These two lovable companions were rescued from a backyard breeder by Kern County Animal Control. The breeder had been attempting to sell the litters after cropping their tails at birth. Thankfully, Lilo, Stitch, their siblings, and their parents were confiscated, giving them a new chance at life. They were initially taken in by our partner, Pitopotomus Rescue, before finding their way to us here at Mission Bay Puppy Rescue.
At 7 months old, Lilo and Stitch already display the best of both worlds—the loyalty, intelligence, and trainability of a Malinois, paired with the adorable, compact size of a French Bulldog. Currently weighing in at 17 pounds, these pups are expected to stay small, capping out at around 20 pounds when fully grown.
What makes Lilo and Stitch even more special is how quickly they’ve adapted to life in the rescue. They’re mostly potty trained and have started mastering basic commands, which means they’re more than ready to join a loving home. Both are incredibly sweet and affectionate, with the gentle, playful nature that will make them wonderful companions. They’ve settled in beautifully with the other rescues at Mission Bay, but they’re eager to find a forever family where they can thrive.
These siblings are ready to bring love, joy, and lots of cuddles into your life. Whether you’re looking for one devoted furry friend or hoping to adopt both, Lilo and Stitch are guaranteed to steal your heart.
